About Me

You open up to me about your life, so it is only fair I tell you more about me. I had no idea I wanted to be a therapist when I started my Bachelor’s degree, but I always knew I wanted to help people, especially kids. I wanted to be a pediatrician. After getting my B.A in Psychology from Northeastern University, I started teaching preschool while I worked on my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Miami.

I am currently contracted at our local Aventura Charter Excellence school, where I provide 1:1 support to students and their families, as well as to all school staff. I provide parenting and student wellness-related workshops, support in applying their social-emotional curriculum at all school levels, and work on growing the counseling team. I serve the following areas:

So why work with me? I have 8+ years experience working in the mental health field, especially with school-aged children and teens. I’ve had success helping families develop healthy communication skills, routines and healthy parent-child relationships.

I help parents learn about childhood development, what’s expected and what’s not, making them feel more prepared for any small or big bump that may come their way.

Let’s face it, our kiddos don’t come with a manual and sometimes our past also affects how we parent.
